The Tale of Phantasma Once upon a crisp Halloween night, a silvery-white full moon cast deep shadows through a dark and dense Transylvanian forest. The deafening silence was broken only by the lonely plodding of the footsteps of a lost and weary traveler. Occasional owl hoots eerily echoed the journeyman’s solitary steps and somewhere in the far distance, a bell tolled the sound of midnight. Realizing he was lost deep in the twisting woods, he stopped – as did his heart when he heard a thundering sound that grew louder and louder. Suddenly, the winds picked up with a howling menace, and as he cowered in fear, out of nowhere appeared a fiery red-eyed galloping steed followed by a swirl of wailing ghosts and goblins. As quickly as the frightening figures appeared, they vaporized into the night and the winds settled down. The traveler thought for sure it was his imagination, until he found a single hoof print. Since then, no others have seen the horse they call: Phantasma!
